(Milwaukee, WI) - Players and club supporters attended the Milwaukee Bombers 2005 end of season party at club President Paul "Plugger" O'Keffee's house on Saturday evening, November 5.  The annual end of season party allows the team to gather one last time to reflect upon the year's events and for awards to be handed out.  The event this year had added importance to the club after a phenomenal season that included a third place finish in the  Mid American Australian Football League (MAAFL), hosting the United States Australian Football League (USAFL) National Championships, and finishing second in the country in this premier tournament.  After this success, it is clear that the Milwaukee Bombers are truly setting the standard for Aussie Rules in the United States.

The most anticipated event of the evening every year is the calculation of the winner of the 2005 Milwaukee Bomber Best and Fairest competition.  With 25 votes and standing head and shoulders above the rest of his teammates for the entire season, Ross Siegel is the Milwaukee Bombers' 2005 Best and Fairest.  Ross joins past winners James Brunmeier, Bruce Beilfuss, Paul Raisanen, Jason Becker, and Justin Todd.  Other players receiving a high number of votes for the Best and Fairest competition include Jared Brunmeier, Bruce Beilfuss, Paul "Smitty" Smith, Mike Perrone, Donald "Sir Don" Shadian, and Aaron Siegel.

The Best and Fairest Award is akin to the American MVP Award. Votes are awarded after each game by the umpires and coaching staff for the best players on the ground. 3 votes are given to the best player, 2 votes to the second best player and 1 vote to the third best player.
