James Wins Best & Fairest
James Brunmeier was the leading vote winner in the 2004 Best and Fairest competition. James led the way six best on ground performances during the year. In total James received votes on ten different occasions.

(Milwaukee, WI) - James Brunmeier was the leading vote winner in the 2004 Best and Fairest competition. James led the way six best on ground performances during the year. In total James received votes on ten different occasions. He polled a total of 22 points. Hot on his heals was Australian Chris Kendall (19 points) with Sir Don Shadian, in his first year polling 15 votes.  James joins past winners Bruce Beilfuss, Paul Raisanen, Jason Becker, and Justin Todd.  

The Best and Fairest Award is akin to the American MVP Award. Votes are awarded after each game by the umpires and coaching staff for the best players on the ground. 3 votes are given to the best player, 2 votes to the second best player and 1 vote to the third best player.

James had a very consistent season and earned himself many other honors including American Revolution (USAFL National Team) selection and the Macquarie University Scholarship to study for a semester at the Macquarie University in Sydney.

A total of 21 Bombers garnered votes throughout the season highlighting the overall depth of the Bombers. This was evident by their results throughout the season and their third place finish at Nationals.
