2010 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP POOLS

The National Tournament Committee has finalized the pools for all
divisions.

We are pleased to note that a record number of teams are playing at
Nationals this year. Unfortunately, this makes our task even more difficult,
and will inevitably lead to some disappointment.

As always, this has been a difficult task, especially given the complexity
inherent in a national competition (e.g., trying to compare teams that
never played each other during the season, or did not play many or any
games during the season). The goal is to promote a lively and balanced
competition based on the information available. The nature of this task is
inherently imperfect, and although we know this subject could be fodder for
endless debate, we assure you that we have done our best.

We would like to thank all of the clubs that provided the requested
information, including game results and requested division.

It would be impossible to completely discuss our rationale. Nevertheless,
in order to improve the sport and provide some guidance for future National
Tournaments, we believe it is proper for us to offer a few comments.

The DIVISION I teams are pooled as follows:

POOL A
1 . DENVER
2 . ORANGE COUNTY
3 . BALTIMORE/DC
4 . BOSTON

POOL B
1 . NEW YORK
2 . GOLDEN GATE
3 . SEATTLE
4 . NASHVILLE

Nashville’s strong season marks the MAAFL’s first team back in Division I
in several years.

POOL A
1 . CALGARY
2 . DALLAS
3 . MILWAUKEE
4. KANSAS CITY

POOL B
1 . CHICAGO
2 . MINNESOTA
3 . SAN DIEGO
4 . PHILADELPHIA

Once again, there are a large number of MAAFL teams in Division II. The
pools reflect an attempt to minimize match-ups from the season and last
year’s nationals.

DIVISION III
POOL A
1 . AUSTIN
2 . OHIO VALLEY
3 . PORTLAND
4 . ATLANTA

POOL B
1 . NORTH CAROLINA
2 . COLUMBUS
3 . FLORIDA UNITED
4 . LAS VEGAS/ARIZONA

All of the teams, except LAS VEGAS/ARIZONA in Division III competed
as single sides during the regular season.

DIVISION IV
POOL A
1 . MINNESOTA
2 . ORANGE COUNTY/DES MOINES
3 . DENVER/KANSAS CITY
4 . OHIO VALLEY

POOL B
1. CHICAGO/GOLDEN GATE
