The Milwaukee Bombers Australian Rules Football Club, as a symbolic gesture to honor the U.S. Troops and the Coalition Forces serving over in Iraq, is presenting a team Bomber jacket to one of its own “soldiers” on the field of play.  Army Reservist SGT Brian Schwalbach of the 332 MP Company has been a member of the Milwaukee Bombers for over two years.  Nicknamed “Hollywood” for his tendency to appear on camera during the Bombers’ TV coverage, SGT. Schwalbach has been activated for duty and is currently stationed at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, and awaiting orders.

Team President, Paul “Plugger” O’Keeffe, comments, “While we will miss Hollywood’s skills on the field of play as we kickoff our 2003 season, we are also very proud and grateful that he will represent the U.S. on the field of battle.  The jacket is just a small token of our appreciation to Brian and the rest of the troops.”

SGT. Schwalbach’s Bomber jacket, to be delivered to Ft. McCoy, will be honored at halftime of the Milwaukee Bombers’ home opener against the Kansas City Power on Sunday, April 27th, at Kletszch Park (12 NOON start).
