Bombers Outclassed by Experienced Kangaroos

The Milwaukee Bombers came up short against a fitter, more experienced and much more Australian side from Otobicoke, Ontario. It seemed the Kangaroos learned a lesson from last year and took Bombers more seriously and soberly as they extracted revenge to defeat the Boys in the Red Sash by 65 points.

Through the first term and a half it appeared that Milwaukee might go toe to toe with the taller and more experienced Kangas but as the game progressed, their experience trumped the Bombers’ lack of fitness and discipline.

There were some bright spots. Ross Siegel submitted his usual top-notch performance around the ground earning him best-on-ground honors. Representatives from the Minnesota Freeze, lead by Jason Becker, also gave solid performances for the club.

"We’ll take a lot away from playing a team of that caliber,” remarked Coach Langley. Exposing our boys to a more advanced level of the game will help a great deal in preparing for the start of the MAAFL competition.”
