Milwaukee Knocked Out of MAAFL Hunt
Saturday, September 13, Milwaukee took on Lake Michigan rivals Chicago.  Conditions were a bit soggy but overall perfect for footy.  The Bombers had high hopes on regaining the MAAFL title and a win would have sealed the deal.  The math could have given Milwaukee the title even with a loss. Chicago, as always, stood in the way.
Bombers Struggle in Chicago
The scores say it best; a depleted Milwaukee Bombers traveled to Chicago on August 23 and proved they are not invincible in the MAAFL.  The Bombers were dispatched by both the United and Columbus in a ‘friendly’ tournament. The first match against Chicago was of great interest to anyone who follows Midwestern footy.  The two clubs will clash in two weeks to decide the MAAFL premiership but from the start, the Bombers came out flat and were completely outclassed in the middle.  Chicago were also more competitive around the ball and in the air with Milwaukee seeming timid against their Lake Michigan rivals. This all conspired to dismantle Milwaukee’s style of possession footy as the Bombers never seemed able to get themselves organized and feed their forward line.
