The Milwaukee Bombers enter the home stretch this weekend when they take on the Minnesota Freeze at Brown Deer Park at 2pm. The Freeze travel to Milwaukee for the second leg of the series match. In May, the Freeze soundly beat the Bombers who are looking for revenge. |

The first official Milwaukee Bombers Metro game for the season was played Wednesday night under blustery but otherwise fine conditions on the downtown lakefront. A good turnout of new and old players was perfect for a 10 a side game on a reduced field. In the beginning it was the familiar face of Ross Siegel teaming up with second year player Adam Kanack in the ruck to dominate the clearances and drive the ball forward for the black team.

The Milwaukee Bombers 2010 campaign has been set. Both the Lady Bombers and Bombers look to continue the on-field success from the 2009 US Footy Nationals where the Lady Bombers captured the womens championship and the men placed 2nd in Divy 2. Highlights of the 2010 season to come will see the Lady Bombers travel to NYC and Denver to play in multi-team tournaments. The Lady Bombers have not lost a match since the 2008 season and look to continue their streak of 11 wins. The Bombers look towards a strong recruiting year with six home dates, hosting for the first time the Iowa Roosters (in their first season as a club) and the Toronto Blues. Keep your eye on the website calendar for all event information!

 The Bombers will continue fundraising efforts for the third year in a row by volunteering at Milwaukee Brewer baseball games. These efforts generate almost $10,000 for the club each year, with a portion returned to volunteers. (Great way to pay for footy travel). 2009 sponsor CrossFit Milwaukee has signed on to sponsor the club in 2010. CrossFit, located in north Milwaukee (near Shorewood), is a group -based exercise facility that focuses on increasing overall fitness through functional movements. The Bombers trained at CrossFit last season and without a doubt, was a contributing success to the club's on-field success at US Footy Nationals 2009. |
